Registering a Foreign Business in Illinois
To register your foreign business in Illinois, you must file an Application for Admission to Transact Company with the Illinois Secretary of State (SOS). If you have a typical limited liability company (LLC), you will use Form LLC-45.5. If you have a series LLC, use Form LLC-45.5(S).
