Fees and Requirements for EIN Application
Washington charges $180 to file by mail and $200 to file online for a Certificate of Formation. Reserving an LLC name costs $30, and expedited processing is an additional $50. The $90 statewide business license fee is required when opening or reopening, with a $10 annual renewal and potential city fees.
Most LLCs are pass-through entities for taxes. The EIN is used to identify the business when filing returns and serves as the business’s SSN for operational purposes.
