The certificate authorises employee claims against the Compensation Fund. The fund protects workers from illness, injury, and death related to their jobs. Even applicants without employees can obtain this document. Its validity is twelve months. Companies apply the same as for a compliance certificate. Registration provides a company number and tax number. For support, companies pay small fees based on employees’ salaries. Without employees, businesses don’t want liability so are reluctant to partner. The certificate shows compliance so other companies will work with you.
Registration Process
Registering takes three months with the Department of Labour. With professionals, the COID service takes 25 days. Companies have document age requirements – for example, banks want less than 30 days. It has no expiration but requires annual fees. After registering, submit expenses then yearly or monthly fees. The COID service is faster.
Entity Confirmation Documents
The document confirms an entity is registered, submitted returns, and paid fees. Requirements include company documents, member ID copies, and a tender letter with number. This gets the certificate to apply for tenders, not full registration. After winning the tender, register fully with the Fund.
Secretary of State Confirmation
A Secretary of State document confirms an entity is registered and complies with state rules to operate. Only limited companies or corporations can obtain this document. It shows compliance with state business rules.
