Rotorway International has reduced the price of their A600 Talon from $99,700 to $84,495.00 ex-factory until the 30th April. This includes “everything needed to fly”, in their words – Engine, leather seats, MGL Discovery Lite EFIS are all included.
Specifications and Performance
The A600 is powered by a 147 hp engine, with the option for a 168 hp turbocharged engine. It carries 17 US gallons of fuel and has a 2 hour endurance, burning 8 gallons per hour. The A600 has a maximum speed of 193 km/h at sea level and a climbing rate of 800 fpm to a service ceiling of 10,000 ft.
Construction Details
It takes 300-450 hours to build. The Safari 400 helicopter kit costs $142,800 USD. You can save $40,000 by building it yourself instead of buying it already built for $183,200.
Being primarily sold as a kit, the Talon’s cost can vary due to customization, shipping, assembly, avionics, and regional taxes or import duties.
Other Models and End of Production Note
In April 2021, RotorWay ceased business after 60 years. The assets were purchased by Rotor X Aircraft Manufacturing.
