Overview
In Connecticut, file annual reports online only. The deadline is March 31. It costs $80 for LLCs, LPs, and LLPs. Confirm agent information when filing.
Filing Procedures and Deadlines
Create an account with your details and log in to access forms. Follow instructions to receive a filing number. LLC annual reports are due between January 1st and March 31st. The first report is due the year after forming. For corporations, reports are due by the incorporation anniversary month, with the first report due the following calendar year after forming.
Registered businesses must file annual reports per Connecticut General Statutes section 34-320 to maintain good standing status. This provides easy proof of status if required by investors, lenders, customers, or vendors.
Reminders and Penalties
Use Google Calendar for free reminders to file on time. LLCs must file an Initial Report within 30 days of forming. If you need to change the registered agent, file a Change of Registered Agent request.
There are two options to file: do it yourself through the online process, or let us handle it. Review all business information carefully. Failing to file accurately or on time can bring serious penalties, possibly inhibiting operations or leading to administrative dissolution.
Legal and Compliance
Consult attorneys on filing agreements and check with local offices on requirements to ensure compliance with laws.
