You must be 18 years or over before the 1st June of the summer you want to take part in Camp America. This is due to visa and insurance regulations that we must strictly follow. You can still start your application and be interviewed before you turn 18 though! Camp counselor roles last for 9 weeks. After camp you will have 30 free days to travel around America. Your camp will pay you directly as a reward for all your hard work.
The average weekly rate for day camp ranges from $199 to $800, while overnight camps cost between $680 and $2,000 a week. Camps typically start between May 1st and June 15th and finish 9 weeks after the start date. If you’re available for these dates then you can go to camp. Camp directors look for passion for working with children in applicants. Unless requested before April 1st we may be unable to provide return flights during August 26th to Sept 4th 2022.
All campers must be fully toilet trained, able to speak up for their needs and get through the camp day without a nap. Camp age limit is 13 years old.
