Sometimes GoDaddy offers a refund.

  • If you choose a one year or longer contract, GoDaddy has a 30-day money-back guarantee.
  • If you opted for monthly billing, you have 48 hours to cancel and get your money back.

GoDaddy doesn’t offer refunds on domain transfers or renewals, or on hosting plans under one year. This is why many don’t try GoDaddy.

Requesting a Refund

To get a GoDaddy refund:

  1. Login and open the Product Manager.
  2. Click “My Renews & Upgrades”, then “Payment & Renewing Items”.
  3. Select the refundable product, click Cancel Item.
  4. Send a ticket to Customer Service explaining why you want a refund.

If they accept, you will get emails confirming receipt and requesting a refund. Refunds may take 7-10 days.

Migrating from GoDaddy

Migrating from GoDaddy can be challenging. Some hosts offer free migrations. You can also manually migrate WordPress sites.
