Princess Ages
Snow White is the youngest Disney princess at 14 years old. She is the protagonist of the 1937 animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Jasmine is the second youngest Disney princess at 15 years old in the film Aladdin. Cinderella and Tiana are the oldest Disney princesses, both 19 years old.
As the first Disney princess, Snow White holds an important place in many hearts and minds. She is adapted from the Grimms’ Fairy Tale and debuted in the iconic 1937 film.
The Villains
The Disney villains Gaston from Beauty and the Beast and Hans from Frozen are noteworthy as they are both in their early 20s. Gaston is particularly significant as the first male villain in a Disney princess film.
Changes to the Line-up
Esmeralda was once an official Disney Princess until 2004. She was removed due to her sales being financially disappointing and the difficulty Disney faced in marketing her mature themes to young children, compared to other princesses.
