GlobalGiving is the first, biggest crowdfunding platform supporting charitable projects globally. The latest Charity Navigator ratings named GlobalGiving the only nonprofit to achieve a four-star rating. GlobalGiving is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing a global crowdfunding platform for grassroots charity projects. Dennis Whittle and Mari Kuraishi founded GlobalGiving in February 2002.

Trust and Transparency
Can I trust GlobalGiving? GlobalGiving has received $518 million in grants and currently operates in 170 countries funding over 27,000 projects. Their projects are legitimate; GlobalGiving checks if projects are eligible for donations.
Finally, at any time you’re not happy with how your funds have been used, we also offer the GlobalGiving Guarantee. Donors can directly connect to social and environmental projects and choose a project. The site gives all information on a project, people working on them, donation links and photo galleries.
Fees and Funding
What percentage does GlobalGiving take? GlobalGiving works hard to keep costs low; the nonprofit support fee is 5-7% for most donations. This covers vetting costs and enables delivering even more money to partners. For every $1 that goes to fees, GlobalGiving will raise on average an additional $2 for a nonprofit.
Instead, GlobalGiving retains a 5-12% nonprofit support fee plus a 3% third party processing fee on donations. We help fellow nonprofits access funding, tools, training, and support to serve their communities.
