The UNSC Marine Corps is a branch of the United Nations Space Command responsible for conducting land-based combat operations, using the mobility provided by the UNSC Navy to rapidly deliver forces. In Halo Infinite, players will encounter Marines who can be summoned to help defeat enemies. Once freed, these Marines snap into action alongside Master Chief. Players can also capture Forward Operating Bases where Marines will hang out. The Marine AI quality scales with difficulty, so on Legendary they can be very helpful allies.
Campaign and Gameplay Modes
Though Halo Infinite levels are interconnected, the developers state it is not a fully open-world game. Potential enemies in the campaign are The Banished, also perhaps The Flood or Prometheans. In Halo Infinite’s Firefight PvE mode, Spartans have to take and protect hills from waves of AI enemies. Players can choose the game difficulty which affects enemy strength, numbers, and player gear. The goal is to defeat all enemy waves.
Notable Characters and Multiplayer Tips
The Arbiter appears as an enemy in early Halo games but is killed at the climax. Sergeant Johnson incredibly survives Halo 1-3 but does not feature in Infinite.
To master multiplayer, one needs to master radar, weapons, melee, movement, and teamwork. The Legendary campaign presents another crushing challenge with Sniper Jackals, Elites, and Bosses.
The VK78 Commando is a new addition to the arsenal. It has full-auto fire like the Assault Rifle but is better at mid-range like the Battle Rifle. Timing shots and keeping distance brings victory.
Commanding Marines
To call Marines, use controller commands to bring up available Marines to deploy. This quickly summons reinforcements when needing assistance. The "Marine Summon" ability appears on the HUD or weapon wheel.
Summoning Vehicles
To call a vehicle, interact with the FOB console, pick an unlocked one, and a pilot will drop it off. Vehicles are airdropped in at certain points when a commander announces a pelican is inbound.
