Materials and Construction
Our indoor miniature golf course holes are constructed out of foam product with a urethane coating for strength and durability. They come with "rock look" or "faux brick" edging. Holes are 16 to 22 feet long. A modular miniature golf course is affordable, easy to set up, and ideal for indoor or outdoor use. The footprint can be as small as 600 square feet for a 9-hole design.
The hole itself uses a paper coffee cup. You will need materials like green golf carpet from a hardware store, wood, and a paper coffee cup.
Placement and Design
Determine where to place your golf hole. Clear an area of any brush, making it three by six feet. Place a golf ball to see if it rolls without tapping. Relocate as needed. The recommended area is 15,000 to 22,000 square feet for an 18-hole course playing surface, although a site as small as 9,000 square feet can work. Residential backyard greens are around 500 square feet, while commercial greens are around 2,000 square feet.
Rules and Specifications
Golf rules state the hole must be 4.25 inches in diameter and four inches deep. To cut the hole, use the specifications and best tools available. It’s best to read instructions before starting.
Enhancements
To make the course more appealing, add rocks, trees, and flowers around the holes. Install lighting for evening rounds. You could hang string lights or place solar yard lights along the hole edges.
