Rules and Eligibility
Allowed Pets and Requirements:
- Dogs, cats, turtles, hamsters, rabbits, and fish are allowed.
- Birds and snakes are not eligible for GrabPet.
- Pets must be in a crate, carrier, or on a leash.
- Fish and turtles require a sealed bag or closed container.
- Pets should stay inside the carrier for the entire ride.
Transportation Policies:
- At least 1 adult must accompany the pets.
- Dogs must be on a leash or in a crate.
- Small pets must be in a crate.
- Fish, turtles, crabs, and frogs must be in closed containers.
- Pets must be treated for parasites, ticks, and fleas before the ride.
- In case of soiling the vehicle, a cleaning fee will be charged.
Service Details and Pricing
GrabPet fares start from $14, higher than regular Grab rides due to the specialized service and insurance. Drivers are trained in pet handling and their vehicles come equipped with necessary items such as back-seat covers and leashes.
Passengers should communicate with the driver post-booking to ensure they are ready to transport pets. This service fills the gap left by regular taxis and Uber, most of which do not allow pets, thus facilitating pet owners in Singapore.
