Obtaining Code from Squarespace
This feature can be found within Squarespace’s Settings panel. Select “Export Code” from the menu to download a file containing the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript codes comprising their website.
Considerations for Exporting from Squarespace
- Not everything will export, as features rely on the platform’s JavaScript and CSS.
- Exporting content does not include any of the site’s design or styling.
Extracting Data from Squarespace
Exporting data from Squarespace is easy! Just follow these four simple steps:
- Log in to your Squarespace account and go to the Settings panel.
- In the Settings panel, click Advanced. Then click Export/Import. You’ll see two options: Export Site and Export Blog. Select the one that you want.
- On the next page, select the format that you want to export your data in. You can choose between JSON and CSV.

- If you’re moving to Squarespace 7, you can import blogs, pages, comments, and galleries directly to your new site.
- Squarespace allows you export form submissions in a comma-separated values (CSV) file for analysis and tracking campaign success.
Exporting Products from Squarespace
- In the Admin Home Menu, select Commerce and then click on Inventory.
- In the top right corner, click on Export All. Squarespace will create a CSV file containing all product data, which will be downloaded to your computer.
Exporting Squarespace Site to PDF
- Use the built-in PDF Export function in Squarespace by navigating to Settings > Advanced > PDF Export.
- Another method is to use a third-party service such as Docsify or Print Friendly & PDF.
