Equipment Specifications
- Axe heads must weigh between 1.25-1.75 lbs.
- Handles must be wood, at least 13 inches long.
- Steel axes with 14-16 inch handles are recommended.
- Keep axes sharp to ensure a good throw.
- Use wood that is not too soft and not too hard for targets.
Throwing and Scoring
- Throws should be from 10-20 feet away from the target.
- Scoring includes a bullseye and 2 high-risk "kill shots".
- The maximum score is 64.
- Ages 13-17 can throw with parental supervision.
- Those 18 and older can throw with a valid ID.
Additional Information
- You can throw axes in your backyard.
- Be aware that handles can break when learning; replace them if necessary.
