A drive-in theater has a large outdoor movie screen, a projection booth, a concession stand, and a parking area for cars. Customers can view movies from inside their cars. The first movie starts when it’s dark enough. You usually get two movies for the price of one admission.
- If it rains lightly, the movie continues playing. If there’s a heavy rain or thunderstorm, they may stop the movie temporarily and restart it if the weather improves. Bring blankets, portable radios, and battery-powered devices. Arrive early to get a good spot. There are usually previews before the movies. It’s ideal to turn your car off during the films.
