The North Carolina annual report provides tax and spending information for the state. The Department of Revenue releases it yearly. All NC corporations, LLCs, and partnerships must file yearly updates. The 2023 filing fee is $200.
Report Content and Filing
The report includes the company’s name, address, and officers’ information. File online on the Secretary of State’s website. LLC reports are due April 15, except the first year. If an LLC doesn’t file on time, they receive a Notice of Grounds. Then they have 60 days to file.
A new system called NCSUITS begins fall 2023 for unemployment taxes.
Due Dates and Mandatory Filing
Even without a reminder, you must file your NC Annual Report by April 15 annually. To get an Illinois report, contact the Secretary of State. Request it online or by mail. Include your business’s name, address, and your officers’, directors’ and agent’s names and addresses in the report.
Penalties for Late Filing
If not filed on time, LLCs receive a Notice of Grounds. They then have 60 days to file. In North Carolina, entities have different report due dates but must file yearly.
