Airsoft Gun Regulations
- Airsoft BBs used as ammunition
- Airsoft replica weapons absolutely cannot be converted into real weapons
- Parts not remotely the same, original parts cannot fit
- Due to US law, every airsoft gun comes with an orange tip
Airsoft FPS and Range
- Range plays a big factor
- Rifles and snipers operate around 400–500 FPS with 0.25g bbs
- Heavier BBs drop slower
- High-end guns effective range 300 feet on field
Additional Guidelines
- Under 18 cannot buy airsoft guns
- Must retain buyer documentation for 5 years
- Orange/red tip required to differentiate from firearms
- Still strong restrictions on importing accessories like sights, magazines—require permit and taxes
Conclusion
- Manufacturers make products realistic
- Judge if need highest or average good enough
- Weather affects FPS minimally
