Weebly has a library of over 1 million stock images you can use for free. You can search for images by keyword. To add images, log into your Weebly site, then drag and drop the Image element onto your page. You can then upload an image from your computer. Weebly also has basic image editing tools to adjust brightness, contrast, etc. However, Weebly does not provide online storage for images. So you have to re-upload images each time. Squarespace and Wix do allow online image storage to reuse images across your site.
Adding Galleries and Slideshows
To add a gallery in Weebly, use the Gallery element. This creates a grid of images that can be clicked on to see a larger lightbox view. You control how the images scroll and are displayed. Adding multiple images is easy.
Weebly also supports adding slideshows. And images can be placed behind text by adding a text box over an image. Adjust text style as needed.
Pros and Cons
The main downside with Weebly is the lack of online image storage and advanced editing tools. But their simple editor and free images make Weebly easy to use for basic sites. Squarespace costs more but has better design options and features.
