Protecting and Promoting Your Work
Watermarks have two primary purposes: to mark ownership and protection of assets. If not for avoiding copycats, watermarks can also be used as a way to get your logo out in front of more people, promote your brand, and build brand recognition. The simplest way to tone down your watermark is to keep your logo compact, and set the opacity to below 50%. This allows the underlying image to seep through, while maintaining a clear mark.
Having a watermark is essential for protecting and promoting creative work in the digital age.
