ECASA Membership Requirements

All application forms for membership shall be signed. The initial 12 months of any member’s membership shall be on a probationary basis. A Development Member shall be required to register for, and undergo, the upliftment and development programme. A Development Member shall only be eligible to apply for Ordinary Membership once registered as an electrical contractor.

In order to become an ECASA member, the following information is required:

  • A copy of your wireman’s license
  • Proof of Registration with Electrical Contract
  • Company Registration Documents
  • Proof of Registration with Bargaining Council

ECASA Participant Membership

Upon registration, eligible Participants with ECASA, the parents or guardians will automatically become a Member. The Members represent the Participants at meetings. There is one vote per parent/guardian. A Member must be present to cast a vote. There is no voting by proxy.

Electrician Certification in South Africa

Electricians in South Africa meet requirements for their qualifications. If you meet the minimum requirements, you can apply for an electrician apprenticeship with ECASA. Apprenticeships last five years, you complete on-the-job training and basic theory. If you have an NQF qualification and trade test you reduce the apprenticeship length.
