How to Edit an Existing Slide

To edit slides in PowerPoint, access the presentation. On the top right corner, click “Edit”. In the ribbon, click buttons to edit text, images, animations, and shapes. To save, on the top right, click “Save”.

In the slide thumbnail pane, choose a layout that looks like how you want the slide to appear. For a new layout, click “Blank Layout” and add placeholders to hold contents. To change the existing layout, click “Insert Placeholder” on Slide Master tab and select the placeholder type. Click the location to place it. Add, edit, or remove placeholders on slide layout.

You can add, delete, or reorder slides. Click “New slide” or “New slide with layout” for a new slide.

Hold the "Ctrl" key and select slides to delete multiple at once. Right-click on the slide and press “Delete Slide”. Slides can also be removed with the "Delete" or "Backspace" keys.

To move a slide, drag it to a new position.

Master slides apply the same look across all slides. Use the master to rapidly make global changes. Access via "Slide Master" on the "View" tab. Modify the master as needed. Changes automatically apply to other slides.
