Obtaining Your EIN Confirmation Letter
The IRS sends a confirmation letter for every EIN application. This letter is called CP 575. The IRS mails it to the address on the SS-4 application in 8 to 10 weeks.
If you applied online, download the CP 575 online. Call the IRS Business & Specialty Tax Line at 800-829-4933 to request a replacement confirmation letter called a 147C. Provide your business name, address and phone number.
Your previously filed tax return has your EIN. Ask the IRS to search for your EIN at 800-829-4933.

Important Notes
