DHA License Application Process
To get a DHA license:
- Complete a self-assessment.
- Create a Sheryan account to access DHA services.
- Get qualification and experience documents verified by DHA approved agencies (Dataflow verification).
- DHA conducts licensing exams for each profession.
- Choose your preferred exam date, time, and test center.
- Send an application to your medical/dental council along with copies of your registration and diploma certificates to apply for a good standing certificate.
- Fee is Rs. 500, takes 5 days after facility director approval.
DHA Exam Eligibility
To be eligible for DHA exam:
- Graduate from a recognized medical school.
- For non-UAE nationals – have at least 2 years clinical experience post-internship with 1 year in general practice.
- Be presently working with a minimum of 2 years continuous experience.
Certificate of Good Standing in UAE
To get a certificate of good standing in UAE:
- Identify your licensing authority based on your profession, such as the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
- Check eligibility criteria like having a valid UAE license, clean disciplinary record, and being up-to-date on fees.
- Apply through the licensing authority’s online portal.
- Make the payment to get the certificate, valid for 6 months.
The certificate is necessary for various purposes like immigration or applying for jobs overseas, and it takes around 2 weeks under normal application process.
Police Clearance Certificate
Also called Certificate of Good Conduct, it proves your criminal record or lack of it. Both UAE citizens and residents can apply for it from Abu Dhabi and Dubai Police. It is required for immigration purposes.
