Event Planning and Bar Management
Making a Drink Bar for a Party
- Decide which cocktails to offer.
- Estimate the number of guests.
- Determine how much of each liquor and mixer is needed per drink.
- A 750-milliliter bottle contains about 25 ounces or an average of 16 shots.
How to Create a Cocktail Bar
Select a few different flavors of Italian sodas.
Calculating Drinks Per Guest
- Beer: Guests may drink about 12 ounces (one bottle) every half hour to hour during the party
- Cocktails: Allow 1-1/2 ounces of liquor for each drink
Drink Estimates for Larger Groups
- 60 people = 75 cans of beer
- 60 people = 90 cocktails
Setting Up an Outdoor Bar
Tie weights on the corners of the cloth to anchor it, such as copper washers, to keep bugs at bay.
