After setting up your domain in Duda, you must set up your DNS settings through your domain host. To do this:
- Log into your domain host account.
- Create two A records and a CNAME record.
This points your domain to Duda servers, allowing users to access your site. It may take up to 48 hours to resolve DNS changes.
In order to connect your domain, you will need admin access to the domain which you intend to use.
DNS, short for Domain Name System, is a service that allows websites to be easily located through domains. A domain is indicated by a URL (Uniform Resource Locator).
At the sign-up screen you’ll notice that you can try Duda free for 14 days. Once your account has been created and you’ve validated your email, you should be taken to your Duda dashboard.
You can easily create a subdomain in GoDaddy manually without using Cpanel. To create a subdomain:
- Navigate to the “My Products” section.
- Locate the domain name you’d like to create a subdomain for.
- Click on “DNS” on the right side of the screen.
- Click “Add” on the bottom right side of the screen.
- Select “A” from the “Type” menu.
- In the “Host” box, type in the subdomain name that you want to use.
If you chose to use a domain you already own, after setting up your domain in Duda, click Continue. Duda searches for your domain host provider.
This tutorial is for users who have bought their domain from GoDaddy. To manage DNS:
- Select the domain from the list of domains.
- Click on the three dots to get options, select Manage DNS from the options.
