Listing Domains
Afternic is a GoDaddy company and the world’s largest domain marketplace. Listing with Afternic includes your domain in search results on over 120 top registrars and reseller websites.
Joining the marketplace is completely free and you only pay a commission once your domain has successfully sold. The entire process only takes about 5 minutes, although additional verification checks may be required to verify ownership. Therefore, listing a domain could take several hours before it goes live.
Sales Acceleration
Sell domains faster with Afternic Sales Acceleration, where you can access benefits and maximize the revenue from your domain investment. Experience up to 10x faster domain sales with potential for 20% higher average sales prices on your domains.
Inventory Management
The first step is to understand your inventory, consisting of the domain names you want to sell. Identify domains you don’t want to sell or don’t currently use but still wish to retain.
Domain Marketplace Options
Afternic, BrandBucket, NameCheap, Sedo, and GoDaddy Auctions are reputable domain marketplaces. Each has its unique features, but Afternic partners up with hundreds of registrars, and listings are also visible on GoDaddy’s domain marketplace.
Pricing Strategies
If you’re not sure about the resale price of your domain name, you can choose the “Make an offer” listing type on Afternic. Their commission ranges from 20% to around 25%.
Payment and Transfers
Afternic offers a variety of sales options, including fixed price listings, and auctions. Once a domain is sold, if a sale occurs, Afternic notifies the seller via email, and then the transfer process begins. Afternic provides a domain transfer service to navigate the change of ownership smoothly and securely.
