In this video we get a brand new franchise started with two easy habitats that immediately make the zoo profitable. In Cedar Creek, we take on the challenge of managing a modern zoo from scratch in Planet Zoo’s Franchise Mode. Throughout the series we must juggle the needs of the animals, guests, and staff while expanding the zoo’s reach and reputation. Through thoughtful planning, meticulous construction, and creative design, we will transform Cedar Creek into a world-class destination for animal lovers and conservationists alike.
Planet Zoo is a comprehensive and immersive simulation game that puts players in charge of building and managing their very own zoo.
You can close your existing franchise from the main menu of Planet Zoo. There’s a button with a bulldozer that lets you close it so that you can start from scratch with a brand new franchise. Please be aware that you can only have one franchise, so closing your franchise will delete it without a means of getting it back.
Franchise mode will not be available in Offline Mode.
Does Planet Zoo have a free mode? Yes, Sandbox mode where you have unlimited money and animals do not get sick or die.
What is the best animal to start with in Planet Zoo? We recommend looking at African animals as a great starter. Springboks and Common Warthogs are especially good to start with due to a small space requirement and short gestation period, allowing you to build a vibrant enclosure quickly.
How do you get unlimited money on Planet Zoo? Unlike many PC simulation titles, Planet Zoo doesn’t actually have any cheats built into the game.
The first step in the Franchise Mode is to start making the zoo profitable. Initially, you will have a specific amount to spend on everything, including animals. But the best animals cost a lot, so you’ll start off with cheaper ones that are still attractive to visitors.
A comprehensive guide for learning about how to start a new Zoo and make it profitable includes understanding your starting conditions. When you load up a new map in Planet Zoo you’ll have:
- An already built entrance
- A small 10m wide path
- Hidden, but present, power sources
Tips for Avoiding Early Mistakes
- Avoid starting too big; limit yourself to 2 or 3 Habitats.
- Don’t begin with large animals, especially carnivores, due to high feeding costs.
- Hiring excessive staff is unnecessary in the beginning.
- Postpone building vet and quarantine facilities if you play smart.
Immersing yourself in Planet Zoo can be daunting. Here are tips to prevent common mistakes:
- Remap ‘pause’ to the spacebar to pause more readily.
- Implement renewable energy sources to improve your conservation rating.
- Maintain facilities, as transformers last longer compared to solar panels.
- Remember the zoo entrance produces power initially and does not deteriorate.
If Planet Zoo is unstable, try these steps:
- Enable vertical sync if it’s disabled and check the result.
- Gradually lower graphic settings, except resolution, to find a comfortable balance.
- If issues persist, lowering the screen resolution may be necessary.
