Accessing HTML and CSS in Weebly
If you want to see the HTML code for your Weebly site, you can do so by going to the Site Manager
tab and then selecting the Edit Site HTML/CSS
option. This will bring up a window containing all of the HTML code for your site. Weebly allows both free and premium users to edit the source HTML / CSS code of a site.
Once you have clicked the Edit HTML / CSS button, it will take you to a page that has the HTML and CSS files for your theme. If you would like to work on a local version of the HTML and CSS files, you can download a copy by clicking Export Theme in the bottom of the left sidebar.
Using the Custom HTML Element
"Embed Code" is one of the important elements in Weebly site editor classified under “Basic” category. It is used to insert any custom HTML, CSS or JavaScript code to add additional functionalities and features.
To customize your footer, click on the Footer button located on the left hand side of the site editor, or click directly inside the footer. Changes you make here will apply to the footer on all pages on your website.
Editing HTML/CSS in Weebly
If you have coding knowledge and want to add more features to your Weebly site beyond what the templates and elements provide, you can easily make changes in the Code Editor. Here, you can edit the HTML and CSS of your theme, as well as use an Embed Code element on specific content areas.
To grant editor access to a Weebly website, Click settings, click Editors. Click Add Editor. Input email address of the person to give access to. Select Permissions. Then click Save Editor.
