Overview of Levels
There are typically three levels of Reiki training:
- First Degree Reiki introduces Reiki energy and self-healing.
- Second Degree Reiki is the practitioner level focused on using symbols, distant healing, and treating a range of issues.
- Third Degree Reiki is the master teacher level.
Attunement Process
The three levels involve attunement ceremonies performed by a Reiki master to open energy channels. This allows universal energy to flow more freely through the body. Attunements help clear blockages and create significant energy changes.
First and Second Degree Reiki
- First Degree Reiki allows you to perform healing on yourself and others nearby, focusing on self-healing and personal development.
- Second Degree Reiki involves using symbols to direct energy flow and distant healing to send Reiki to those not physically present.
Training Duration and Master Teacher Certification
Reiki training duration varies depending on the student and program structure. Typically, each level takes days to weeks, with time for practice and integration between levels. The number of Reiki sessions needed is individual.
- Level Four Master Teacher certification is the highest Reiki qualification. It qualifies practitioners to teach workshops and certify others. Attunement lasts indefinitely once activated through the initiation process.
