Most Valuable Pennies
The 1909-S VDB Lincoln penny, with Victor David Brenner’s initials on the front, is the most valuable penny in 2024. In uncirculated condition, it can be valued at about $500,000. According to Cointrackers.com, certain 1943 and 1944 pennies top the 2023 list of most valuable pennies. A 1943 copper penny in perfect condition can fetch $250,000. A 1944 steel wheat penny in mint condition is worth up to $408,000.
U.S. Mint Production
