Float Tank Basics
A float tank contains around 1000 litres of water and 550 kg of magnesium and sulphate-rich Epsom salts. This increases the specific gravity for the solution to around 1.27, adding buoyancy so users can float. Float tanks are generally safe for most healthy adults. You should not use one immediately after shaving or if sunburnt, as the salt concentration may cause discomfort.
