Instacart charges a delivery fee, service fees, heavy fees for 50+ pounds, and item upcharges. With Instacart Express, a $9.99 monthly or $99 yearly membership, delivery is free on orders over $35, and service fees are reduced.
Shoppers earn $7-$20 per hour including tips, which are usually 5-20%+ of the order. It’s recommended to tip at least 5%. Efficient shoppers can earn up to $45 per hour. They keep 100% of tips, get peak boosts, and mileage reimbursement.
Instacart charges a 5% service fee with a $2 minimum. It cannot be waived.
