Air Force Tattoo Regulations
- Multiple tattoos or body markings allowed on arms and legs.
- Neck tattoo no bigger than 1 square inch and a single ring tattoo on the finger permitted.
- One can tattoo no more than 25% of visible skin in any uniform.
- Band tattoo no wider than 3⁄8 of an inch is allowed.
Merchant Navy and Marine Corps Policies
- Foreign overseas companies manage many merchant navies, known as flag of convenience.
- US Marines allowed full-sleeve arm and leg tattoos after 15 years.
- Updated policies allow for tattoos on the chest, back, arms, and legs.
Navy & Seafarers Tattoo Allowance
- New navy regulations allow unlimited tattoos on legs, arms, neck, hands, and behind ears.
- Torso tattoos are allowed but not visible with whites.
- Cruise ships have restrictions on tattoos during formal dinners and passenger areas.
Cruise Ship Workers Conditions
- Workers have intense hours, working 7 days a week on contracts ranging from 2 to 11 months.
- Must conceal tattoos during work hours and formal events.
- 60 vacation days given after the contract before next assignment.
