When are the Next Commonwealth Games?
The next Commonwealth Games will be held in 2026. Just as the Olympics are held every four years, so are the Commonwealth Games. Uncharacteristically, the 2026 Games will be hosted in three cities instead of the traditional single host cities. The three cities for the 2026 games will be hosted in Geelong, Bendigo, Ballarat, and Gippsland in the state of Victoria.

The 2026 Commonwealth games will be held from March 17 to March 29.

What Year were the First Commonwealth Games?
The very first Commonwealth Games took place in 1930, and were often referred to as “the friendly games.” The games, which at the time were called the 1930 British Empire Games, were held in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The games were founded by Melville Marks Robinson. The only years the games were missed were 1942 and 1946 due World War II.

2002 was the first year adults with disabilities were included in the games. 2018 was the very first year that medal events were equal for men and women and the 2022 games are the first ever to have more events for women than men. (Per Wikipedia)
