Naming Guns and Cars
I guess I always felt like naming a gun was like naming a baseball bat or a screwdriver; it’s an implement. But a car, well a car has a soul. It makes sense to me to name a car. Do you name your guns?
A buddy of mine names his guns, I name my cars, but we both do it the same way. When a name is right, it sticks and that’s what matters. Like his 1911, when it goes out he’s, "Taking Gladys out on a date."
Choosing Good Gun Names
I am going to buy nametags so I can rename my guns. I have an AK47 Redline, AWP Sun In Leo, and Glock Water Elemental. Could someone give me some ideas that I could name them? What are some cool gun names?
You can name guns after people too. Choosing a cool name connects you to your gun. It can showcase firearms history and culture.
On Gun Naming Practices
Ever since I was 7, Sig was the coolest, best looking weapon. What makes a shotgun unique? Match ammunition to prevent explosion. Know basic parts of guns. How are gun names chosen?
The primary use can inspire good names. Match names to guns’ unique traits. Personalize your gun with a nickname.
Military Operations Naming
How do military operations get named? High-ranking officials and politicians often select memorable, appropriate names. Manufacturers use model numbers for identification. Modern firearms describe caliber.
Gun names also reflect other interests. The FBI now uses Glock Gen 5 9mm handguns. Germany’s giant railway-mounted "Gustav Gun" showed industrial might.
