Firework Regulations and Usage
- Fireworks can be sold from June 24 to July 25 and Dec. 29-31, and two days before and on Chinese New Year’s Eve.
- Sale and Discharge Timings:
- On July 4 and July 24, discharge hours extend to midnight.
- On Dec. 31, New Year’s Eve, and the Chinese New Year, hours extend to 1 a.m.
- Location and Sale Laws:
- Fireworks may only be sold around July 4th or New Year’s Eve in certain states.
- Sales from registered sellers are allowed on specific dates for private use.
Firework Usage Guidelines
- Prohibited Actions:
- Setting off fireworks between 11pm and 7am outside permitted dates is punishable by fines and imprisonment.
- Illegal activities include lighting fireworks in public places and from private property into public areas.
- Consumer Firework Usage:
- Fireworks can be ignited using matches, lighters, and punks.
- Display setups may include racks and tools limited only by imagination.
Firework Sales and Restrictions
- Purchase Dates:
- Fireworks can be bought from registered sellers on specified dates for private use.
- Legal Restrictions and Penalties:
- Certain types of fireworks are illegal in different regions and can result in fines and imprisonment for violators.
- Age Restrictions:
- Minimum age for consumer fireworks usage is set at 16+ in specific areas.
