UK Lockdown Easing and Massage Industry
Boris Johnson has revealed that massage parlours and spas would be allowed to reopen on 12th April. So what are the latest rules on the lockdown easing in the UK?
In England, personal care services such as nail salons will be able to reopen from 12th April under Boris Johnson’s "roadmap" for exiting lockdown.
The UK Spa Association has announced that the UK government has agreed saunas and steamrooms can operate in tier three areas. Budapest Szechenyi Baths in Budapest is often called the spa capital of Europe with more than 100 thermal springs. Under the London Local Authorities Act 1991 all premises offering special treatments must have a massage and special treatment licence.
Our massage parlours located across London offer a variety of massage services from experienced therapists. We provide traditional Thai, Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone massages and more to suit different needs. We also offer beauty treatments, sports massage and reflexology.
A protective face mask must be worn at all times upon entry and throughout your treatment. We have implemented strict hygiene practices to ensure the safety of therapists and customers. Massage parlours are usually open late around 3:00 AM or later daily for the perfect Asian massage experience. We offer outcall massages anywhere in Central London or Heathrow airport.
International Considerations
To open a massage spa in the Philippines, you would need to research the industry, develop a business plan including your target market and strategies. In Florida no massage license is required to practice Reiki.
Legal and Professional Standards in the UK
Under the London Local Authorities Act 1991, all premises offering special treatments must have a licence. The minimum requirement to practice massage in the UK is a Level 3 Diploma in a relevant subject. This would ideally be a massage-related subject, but could also be anatomy. Massage therapists possess the unique ability to help individuals overcome pain, reduce stress, and recover from injuries.
Massage Therapy Education
Choosing the correct massage therapy course in the UK can be a minefield, especially with different courses claiming to be “Official” or “Fully Regulated”. Anyone can call themselves a massage therapist and give massage treatments without having any training at all! Of course, we wouldn’t recommend that.
