ThyssenKrupp Elevator Americas still makes traction elevators. It also makes machine room less (MRL) elevators – synergy traction and endura hydraulic. The evolution is another MRL model. Its two U.S. factories in Tennessee and Mississippi are ISO 14001 certified. The company was created in 1999 when it merged the German Thyssen AG and Krupp. TK Elevator is now independent after thyssenkrupp AG sold it in August 2020.
