About The Idaho Painter
Chris Berry, known as The Idaho Painter on social media, started a residential painting business in Boise 18 years ago. Thanks to social media, his business grew rapidly. From their Eagle home, Chris and his wife Lisa manage corporate sponsorships, paid trips for Chris to teach classes, and their painting company with nine workers.
Teaching and Sharing
Chris’ mission is to convince people painting can be fun by breaking down barriers around painting. He teaches DIY techniques to both novice and experienced painters. Chris believes painting is for everybody. The Idaho Painter YouTube channel has over 160,000 subscribers. Chris shares the skills he’s learned over 30 years as a painter and business owner. His videos aim to educate and empower painters.

Fans recognize Chris all over, even once in London at midnight! His Instagram gets 1.5 million views weekly, and the YouTube channel averages 50,000 views daily. Chris started these channels in 2011 to help aspiring painters. He gives alternative advice to big box store videos using actors and shows real techniques so viewers gain confidence to paint themselves without hiring a professional.
