Orangetheory in Canada
Orangetheory Canada opened first location in 2012. Blake MacDonald bought national franchise rights in 2011. As president, MacDonald oversaw expansion to 87 locations.
Seven years after arrival, opened 100th location in Vancouver, British Columbia. The West Broadway location is 9th opened by Trevor Linden’s group. Linden owns Club 16 Trevor Linden Fitness Centre & Gyms. This includes gyms for women only.

Parent company Ultimate Fitness Group has 1 million members. Locations over 1300 across 21 countries. Workout brainchild of physiologist, co-founder Ellen Latham. She developed the "Ultimate Workout".
Fourteen years later founded Orangetheory Fitness. Now over one million members, 1200 studios globally. Offers heart rate tracking, real-time metrics. This grew as Canadians adopt health practices.
Expansion Plans and Ownership
The company is opening 30 plus locations this year. New one every week and a half. By February 2023, 90 locations in Canada. First location was in 2012. In over three years opened 75 locations.
