So what do you do when you can book a car from Turo? We will go through a number of problems that can occur and how to fix them. The first step is to make sure that Turo has approved and verified all of your information. Before doing anything this is the first step. To do this open up the app and go to the Account tab. You can then scroll down to find the “approval status.” If there is anything wrong with your approval process you will see it here.
Payment can also create an issue in renting a car. You may have to pay a balance that is due or you might need to update your payment info. If you have an outstanding balance from an unpaid reimbursement or claim, you can’t book a car. Also, make sure to check your email for any notices from Turo. It is guaranteed that if you are having an issue Turo will have already sent you an email about it.
The next step is to make sure that you are actually eligible to rent a car. Turo has instituted a 23-year-old age limit on renting certain cars. The problem could be that you’re actually not allowed to rent the car in the first place.
Another issue you might be having is a poor insurance score. If you are labeled by insurance as a high-risk driver Turo won’t rent to you. This is an issue if you have multiple car crashes and/ or speeding tickets on your record. Also having multiple accounts can cause errors that lead to not being able to rent a car.
