Taylorism refers to the division of different tasks in the production process in order to increase the productivity and avoid that there is control over workers.
This theory of the organization of work was developed by the American economist Frederick Winslow Taylor, hence the system bears his surname. It is a concept that is closely related to that of chain production.

Objectives and characteristics of Taylorism
In addition to the main characteristic that we have mentioned above, Taylorism is based on the following objectives and characteristics that we mention below:

- The worker receives training and preparation according to the knowledge they have
- The production processes are analyzed within the objectives that the company has set to optimize what they do
- Work methods are adopted to prevent work from improving health and not feeling fatigued or tired
- The worker's environmental conditions are improved
- Productivity is improved by reducing the use of standardized methods
- Some companies choose to offer their workers, and in order to increase productivity, a system of incentives and salary rewards
- Specialized human supervision is used to control the entire production process of the company
- A certain discipline is developed in the distribution of roles and responsibilities within the company
